Discover Our Partners in Education

Over the years, Matrix Academy has created lasting, mutually-beneficial partnerships with education institutions both within Canada and worldwide. We value the opportunity to connect and collaborate with other high-calibre secondary schools and organizations. Since serving students and helping them succeed is our number one priority, our school is always looking to forge new relationships with education partners and expand our network. We have partners in Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Georgia, China, and Brazil among others. Here are a few of our partners…

Partnership Highlights

In more recent years, Matrix Academy has been offering a new form of education to Kazakhstani students. We are excited to announce that in 2021, our principal signed an official agreement with Alter School in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. As a part of our agreement, we have been offering workshops and seminars to both teachers and students from our partner school. Several Alter Students attended our English clubs and workshops online (via Zoom) where they learned useful academic and professional skills. For example, in one of our workshops, we taught Alter School teachers how to create assessment rubrics following Canadian school guidelines. And, in our English writing club, we taught ESL students how to write paragraphs and essays.

In June 2023, Alter School’s principal, Alexander Pechenin, participated in our onsite graduation ceremony that took place in Astana, Kazakhstan. He gave a special speech during the ceremony where he expressed his gratitude for the partnership his school has with Matrix Academy and said he looks forward to a long-term, fruitful relationship with our school.

Students from around the globe came to Kazakhstan to attend Matrix Academy’s graduation ceremony. Each one was awarded their OSSD diploma, together with their Kazakhstani peers. In this monumental event, not only were students excited to start a new chapter in their lives and celebrate their achievements, but they were also thrilled to meet each other in person for the first time. It was an unforgettable event for all of them!

Furthermore, we were privileged and honored that Mr. Alan Hamson (Canadian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) and Mr. Eric Dionne (Canadian Trade Commissioner in Kazakhstan) attended our graduation ceremony. These distinguished men are Canadian federal authorities abroad, currently residing in Kazakhstan. On behalf of our school, they awarded diplomas and recognition scrolls to our graduates during the ceremony.
