Nothing makes us prouder than seeing our students’ hard work pay off. We are excited to shine a spotlight on Max T., a Matrix Academy Class of 2026 alumnus, who joined us to complete his Grade 12 studies.
As a student from Quebec, Max chose Matrix Academy as a pathway to complete Grade 12 and apply directly to university. While CEGEP is an important and valuable option for many students in Quebec, Max felt that the Grade 12 route was the right fit for his personal academic goals and future plans. This pathway allowed him to focus on the courses most relevant to his intended university studies.
Max has always been driven, especially when it comes to his love for Chemistry and his interest in the medical field. We are thrilled to share that he received admission offers from several well-known Ontario universities:
- University of Toronto
- Queen’s University
- McMaster University
- York University
- University of Guelph
- University of Ottawa
For Max, Matrix Academy became a supportive place where he could learn, grow, and prepare for the future. As he shared, “Matrix Academy made my learning experience more flexible and personalized.” He also appreciated the supportive atmosphere, saying, “Teachers are more available and willing to help,” and the students were open, which helped him make new friends. Looking back, Max feels that Matrix Academy helped him develop “discipline and time management,” as well as the confidence to stay organized and complete work independently.

Outside the classroom, Max is also an avid hockey player and has played with the West Island Royals. His ability to balance academics and athletics shows his dedication, focus, and strong work ethic.
We are very proud of Max’s achievements and wish him all the best as he begins this exciting new chapter.
