Refund Policy: Matrix Academy does not issue refunds and does not allow for course transfers.
Student Enrollment Policy: All Matrix Academy courses are held in real time. Students are required to be present for 110 hours of instruction in order to earn their course credit. Credit will not be granted if a student misses more than 10 hours. Any assignments not submitted by the deadline will receive a grade of zero. All students are required to take a final examination that includes oral and written components. Grades are weighted as follows: 70% for course work and 30% for the final exam. Failure to earn a final grade of at least 50% results in failure of the course, which will have to be re-taken in full.
Course Prerequisite Policy: Some courses offered by Matrix Academy require the student to have completed one or more prerequisite courses. When registering, the student is responsible for providing documentation (e.g., report card, Ontario Student Transcript) demonstrating the successful completion of all prerequisites. The student will not have access to course content beyond the first unit until proof of prerequisite completion has been provided. If they have not completed the prerequisite course(s), the student may be eligible for a prerequisite waiver if they have completed an equivalent course in another province or country, are a mature student or have a higher level of education. Please contact us for more information.
Confidentiality Policy: Matrix Academy may, when applicable, communicate with any of the following: the parents or guardians of students under the age of 18; the student’s home school and the staff members thereof; and/or relevant post-secondary institutions or organizations. Third-party organizations may be accessible through the Matrix Academy website. To access and use the services of these organizations, only basic information, such as a student’s name and email address, will be shared with them. When a student accesses third-party services through the Matrix Academy website, they agree to the terms and conditions of those organizations. Matrix Academy may modify any or all of these policies at any time and will post notice of such modifications on its website. Continued enrollment with Matrix Academy indicates that the student and/or parent or guardian accepts and agrees to abide by all of these policies.
